Loneliness can manifest anywhere, but there’s a distinct essence to the solitude experienced in a bustling city, where you’re surrounded by millions yet unable to truly connect. Despite our modern inventions, it seems that contemporary life only deepens this isolation. In an attempt to escape this sense of loneliness, we create various diversions.
I had the privilege of attending the opening ceremony of the Russia Designers Association poster exhibition, and it was during my week-long stay in the country that I captured these photographs. This collection, titled “We all have a story,” reflects the universal human experience of carrying our own unique narratives amid the backdrop of our sometimes lonely urban existence.
