The book is not just a collection of images; it’s a journey through the complexities of identity, displacement, and resilience. A powerful narrative about Iranian lives in America. I’ve carefully curated the layout to create a visual rhythm that mirrors the emotional cadence of Hossein Fatemi’s photographs, allowing each image to breathe and tell its own story. I’ve also contributed a series of illustrations that serve as visual interludes, adding another layer of depth to the narrative by capturing the broader emotional landscape of the immigrant experience. My goal is to ensure that every turn of the page feels like an intimate encounter with the nuanced realities of the Iranian diaspora, capturing the essence of being caught between two worlds.
